Bedtime story questions, answered

Are the bedtime stories free to read?

Yes. Our public library of bedtime stories, kids stories, and fairy tales is free to read, and you do not need an account for the current library.

What ages are these kids stories for?

The current stories are labeled for ages 3–9. Every child is different, so parents and caregivers should use their own judgment about what feels right for their child.

Can families listen as well as read?

Yes, some stories have narration available for listening, while the text remains available for reading. Narration is not available for every story yet.

How do you choose and label kids stories and fairy tales?

We review each public story for its age range, reading time, themes, and source. Where a story is adapted or inspired by a traditional tale, we keep that adaptation note visible.

Can AI create a personalized bedtime story?

A personalized story builder is planned, but it is not available today. We are not currently collecting children's personal details for story creation.

Can I use my own or a family member's voice?

Family voice playback is planned for an authorized adult only. No child voices are allowed, and no voice recording is collected today.

What happens to privacy if I share a story in a family voice?

Future sharing would require an adult to take explicit action, with stories private by default and only an authorized adult voice shared. Recipients may copy a link or audio, so get consent before sharing. Before launch, we plan controls to revoke access, delete the recording, model, and shared item, and report a takedown.
