The Moon Rabbit and the Lantern
A small rabbit learns that a gentle light can guide a whole village home.
High above the quiet bamboo hills, a moon rabbit polished a little red lantern every evening. He loved its warm glow, but he worried it was too small to help anyone.
One windy night, the village path disappeared beneath silver mist. A lost fox called for help, and the rabbit carried his lantern down the hill. The light showed one stepping stone, then the next, until the fox could see the bridge.
Soon the fox joined him. Together they found a sleepy crane, then a family of field mice. Each friend carried something bright: a firefly, a star-shaped leaf, or a bright smile.
By midnight, their little lights made a golden path all the way home. The rabbit looked at his lantern and understood: a light does not need to be big to be shared.
